해당 계약에 따라 갈프는, 최종투자 결정(FID)과 기타 관습적 조건들의 선례에 따라 현재 2022년으로 예상되는 벤처글로벌 캘거슈패스 LNG 수출 시설의 실제 상업적 운영일로부터 시작해 20년간 본선인도(FOB) 조건으로 LNG를 구매한다는 계획이다.

벤처글로벌 LNG는 멕시코만(Gulf of Mexico)과 캘커슈 운하(Calcasieu Ship Channel)의 교차지점에 있는 약 1천 에이커(Acre) 규모의 부지에 10MTPA 용량의 벤처글로벌 캘커슈 패스(Venture Global Calcasieu Pass) 시설을 개발하고 있으며, 루이지애나주의 뉴올리언스에서 남쪽으로 약 30마일 떨어진 미시시피 강가에 있는 630에이커(Acre) 규모 부지에 있는 루이지애나주의 플라커민즈 패리시(Plaquemines Parish)에 총용량 20 MTPA 벤처 글로벌 플라커민즈 LNG (Venture Global Plaquemines LNG) 시설도 개발하고 있다.

Venture Global LNG enters into LNG Sales and Purchase Agreement with Galp for 1 Million Tonnes Per Year
ARLINGTON, Virginia, May 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Venture Global Calcasieu Pass, LLC, a subsidiary of Venture Global LNG, Inc., and Galp, a Portuguese-based fully integrated energy player, have entered into a 20-year Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) for the supply of one million tonnes per annum (MTPA) from the Venture Global Calcasieu Pass LNG export facility, currently under development in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, USA.
Under this agreement, Galp will purchase LNG on a free on board basis (FOB) for a 20-year term starting from the commercial operation date of the Venture Global Calcasieu Pass LNG export facility, currently expected in 2022 upon Final Investment Decision (FID) and the satisfaction of other customary conditions precedent.
Mike Sabel and Bob Pender, co-CEOs of Venture Global LNG, jointly announced "We are very honored that Galp has signed this binding 20-year SPA with our company. Today's execution follows the recent announcements of our binding 20-year sales agreements with Shell NA LNG LLC and Edison S.p.A., now totaling 4 MTPA. Venture Global LNG is developing both the 10 MTPA Venture Global Calcasieu Pass facility on an approximately 1,000-acre site located at the intersection of the Calcasieu Ship Channel and the Gulf of Mexico and the 20 MTPA Venture Global Plaquemines LNG facility in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana on an approximately 630-acre site on the Mississippi River, 30 miles south of New Orleans, Louisiana.
