(알링턴, 버지니아주 2019년 5월 4일 PRNewswire=연합뉴스) 벤처글로벌LNG(Venture Global LNG, Inc.)는 미국 연방에너지규제위원회(FERC)가 루이지애나주 플래크마인즈패리시에 있는 동사의 연산 2천만 톤(MTPA) 규모의 플래크마인즈 LNG 설비에 대한 최종 환경영향평가(EIS)를 발부했다고 발표한다. FERC는 2018년 8월 31일 벤처글로벌LNG에 플래크마인즈 LNG 설비와 그 부속 게이터 익스프레스 파이프라인에 대한 최종 오더를 2019년 8월 1일 이전까지 발부할 계획임을 통보한 바 있다. 동 프로젝트는 최종 투자 결정 및 2019년 말 착공과 2023년 상업 운전 개시를 향한 정상 궤도를 달리고 있다.
공동 CEO 밥 펜더와 마이크 시벨은 입을 모아 "FERC가 우리 플래크마인즈 프로젝트의 중요한 인허가 사항인 최종 EIS를 제 때에 발부해준 것에 감사한다"면서 "플래크마인즈 LNG는 우리의 파트너 PGNiG와 1 MTPA 규모의 20년 확정 구매 계약을 맺었으며 가까운 장래에 추가적인 영업 계약을 발표할 수 있기를 기대한다"고 말했다.

Venture Global LNG Announces Regulatory Milestone for Plaquemines LNG and 20 MTPA Delta LNG Export Project
ARLINGTON, Virginia, May 3, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Venture Global LNG, Inc. announces that the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has issued the final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the company's 20 million tonne per annum (MTPA) Plaquemines LNG facility in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. On August 31, 2018, FERC notified Venture Global LNG that it plans to issue a Final Order for the Plaquemines LNG facility and the associated Gator Express Pipeline no later than August 1, 2019. The project remains on track for a Final Investment Decision and commencement of construction in late 2019 with full commercial operations expected in 2023.
Co-CEOs Bob Pender and Mike Sabel jointly stated, "We thank FERC for their timely issuance of the final EIS, which is an important regulatory milestone for our Plaquemines project. Plaquemines LNG has a binding 20-year offtake agreement with our partner PGNiG for 1 MTPA, and we are looking forward to announcing additional commercial milestones in the near-term."
