On October 28, 2019, her 2nd album Purpose went for sale online on KuGou Music and immediately attracted a lot of attention, quickly surpassing the 10,000 units milestone, the number needed to garner KuGou's double gold record certification. The speed at which the popular singer earned the certification goes a long way in helping the music platform establish a dominant position in the marketplace.
The new album, which the singer has entitled Purpose, as music has always been one of Taeyeon's most important life goals.
