이번 거래에는 SI그룹의 산업용 레진 제품과 브라질 리오카를로, 인도 란잔가온, 남아공 더반 소재의 관련 제조 공장뿐만 아니라 라이선스된 기술 및 전 세계 다수의 톨링 계약도 들어 있다. 독일 힐덴에 본사가 있는 ASK케미컬스는 파운드리 소재 분야의 마켓 리더로서 바인더, 코팅, 피더, 필터 및 이형제뿐만 아니라 접종물, 강철 주조 용 접종 와이어 및 마스터 합금 등 야금 제품들을 제조한다. 본 거래는 올해 말 종결될 것으로 예상된다.

SCHENECTADY, New York, July 10, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- SI Group [https://www.siigroup.com/ ], a leading global developer and manufacturer of performance additives, process solutions, pharmaceuticals and chemical intermediates, announced today an agreement to sell the majority of its global industrial resin businesses and its Brazilian specialty business to ASK Chemicals [https://www.ask-chemicals.com/home.html ], a portfolio company of private equity firm, Rhone Group, LLC [http://www.rhonegroup.com/ ].
The transaction includes SI Group's industrial resins products and associated manufacturing sites in Rio Claro, Brazil; Ranjangaon, India; and Johannesburg and Durban, South Africa, as well as licensed technology and multiple tolling agreements globally. ASK Chemicals, headquartered in Hilden, Germany, is a market leader in the foundry materials sector and manufactures binders, coatings, feeders, filters and release agents, as well as metallurgical products including inoculants, inoculation wires and master alloys for iron casting. The deal is expected to close later this year.
