-- Korean Corporate Team Wins USD$50,000 Incentive Travel Prize
(SEOUL, South Korea, Nov. 7, 2019 PRNewswire=연합뉴스) The Asia Super Team (AST) competition, a popular annual cross-country event in Taiwan that welcomes corporate teams from throughout Asia, was based on an Enterprise Stars theme this year. The championship winning team was Korea's Hyundai MOBIS; they won an incentive travel package to Taiwan worth USD$50,000.
Enterprises Become Team Stars in Taiwan
As a result of social influencers campaigns in eight Asian countries, thousands of registrations were received from enthusiastic business people and corporations; however only one team from each country could be invited to Taiwan for a multiple-day competition that began on October 14. This was the first year that AST featured a reality-show style program, adding more fun and food for thought on incentive travel in Taiwan.
Sponsored by Taiwan's Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs and executed by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council), MEET TAIWAN is dedicated to the promotion of Taiwan as a preferred incentive travel destination -- and the Asia Super Team competition is a project designed to do just that. AST draws on uniquely entertaining and competitive journeys to introduce incentive travel spots in Taiwan, empowering upgrades of local MICE industries.
This year's Enterprise Stars theme caught up with popular reality show trends matched with amusing audio and visual effects, presenting exciting journeys of corporate teams from eight countries into four episodes of an internet reality show. The participants explored incentive travel hotspots in Taiwan, enjoying laughter and labors together in the games, and encountering impressive local cultures -- all documented for the viewers pleasure. The show will air on MEET TAIWAN's official Facebook page and Youtube channel in November 2019.
Hyundai MOBIS from Korea Announced as Champion at AST Award Ceremony
Wu Feng, an award winning travel show host in Taiwan, and also a new Taiwan citizen, acting as host throughout the four-day journey, presented various awards to individuals and the champion team during the event's award ceremony. Before announcing the championship winner, an exciting video excerpt was played for the media and guests. Walter Yeh, president and CEO of TAITRA, mentioned "this was the sixth year for the Asia Super Team competition and during its span over 10,000 enterprise teams from around Asia have submitted applications, which is indeed a successful reference for incentive travel marketing. This year, we dedicated even more branding effort into the program in the hope of making AST synonymous with incentive travel to Taiwan. In addition to developing visual trademarks and brand content, we also tried to document the show in an entertaining format, so we could share the advantages of incentive travel in Taiwan to Asian countries through internet."
Hyundai MOBIS was announced champion after points from local games and online voting were compiled. Viewers were also winners as free roundtrip flight tickets to Taiwan, sponsored by China Airlines, were also awarded, wrapping up AST 2019 to perfection.
