The company's core competitiveness lies not simply in generating children’s stories with AI, but in its emphasis on personalization, Socratic interaction, visual and narrative consistency, and scalability.
MOFT AI Inc is a company founded on the philosophy that ‘everyone can be the protagonist of their own story.’ Its inaugural service is BEBIEW. BEBIEW is an AI-powered interactive storybook service that creates a personalized story in which the child becomes the main character using a single guardian-provided photo. While reading, the child can engage in voice interactions with an AI story agent. Specifically, BEBIEW goes beyond simply allowing children to listen to or watch a story. It is designed around a Socratic interactive structure in which the child's answers and choices in response to the AI agent's questions influence later scenes, dialogue, missions, character reactions, and narrative development.
Rather than passively following a predetermined storyline, the child becomes an active protagonist who shapes the story's progression through their own words and decisions.
Moving beyond simple AI story generation, the company is developing a new form of EdTech experience in which children actively speak, react, make decisions, and participate within the story. MOFT AI is also developing a guardian-facing report that will summarize the child’s observable choices, responses, and participation.
The company was established in January 2026 by CEO Kiwoong Kim (35).
“BEBIEW starts with a single photo of the child”, explained CEO Kim. “When a guardian upload a photo and select the child's interests, reading difficulty, and story theme, the AI generates a customized 24-page storybook. Here, the child doesn't just have their name inserted; they visually appear as the protagonist in the story. As the narrative unfolds, the AI agent, Bebie, asks the child questions. Depending on the choices the child makes, the reasons they provide, later dialogue, missions, character reactions, and problem-solving paths may change. For instance, if the child answers that they will help a friend, it leads to a cooperation-focused scene. If they suggest a different solution, new dialogues and missions tailored to that choice are presented. This is the core of the Socratic interactive storybook that BEBIEW strives for.”
BEBIEW's most prominent features can be summarized in three areas. The first is the generation of personalized storybooks based on the child's photo, creating a ‘fairy tale where our child is the hero’ by reflecting their face and preferences. The second is the voice-based interaction with the AI agent, Bebi. Throughout the story, Bebi initiates conversations with the child, prompting them to complete vocal missions such as casting a magic spell, calling for help, whispering a secret password, or engaging in role-play dialogue. The Socratic interactive structure is deeply integrated into this process. The Socratic approach encourages children to think independently, explain their reasoning, and consider possible actions through questions rather than being given an immediate answer. In BEBIEW, Bebi asks questions like, ‘Why did you think that?’, ‘What would you do if you were the main character?’, or ‘What would be a good way to help your friend?’ The child's answers and choices acan then influence later scenes, character reactions, and additional missions. Through this, children experience not merely watching a story, but actively thinking, speaking, making decisions, and driving the story forward. CEO Kim emphasized, “BEBIEW is not a story you just watch; it is a story the child actively participates in by speaking.”
“The third feature is the guardian-facing report,”, he continued. ““After the story concludes, guardians will be able to review how the child participated, including the questions they answered, the choices they made, and their engagement in voice-based missions. “We plan to further develop the report so guardians can see how the child responded to specific questions and how those choices influenced later parts of the story.” This allows guardians to observe not just whether their child consumed content, but how they thought, expressed themselves, and attempted to solve problems. Through this, we aim to transform a child’s screen time from passive consumption into an observable and interactive learning experience. The report will focus on observable participation and responses rather than diagnosing the child’s personality, intelligence, emotional state, or developmental characteristics. Moving forward, MOFT AI plans to develop a video-type 'Movie Book' feature—adding motion, narration, and sound effects to static storybooks as well as a physical storybook service that prints the completed stories into actual books.”
